Diana’s Yoga path started in 2003 when she first studied at the Ashtanga Yoga Helsinki with internationally known Ashtanga teacher Petri Räisänen. In 2012 Diana decided to take her love of yoga further and went back to India, graduating in 200 hr. Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher Training. Whilst studying Diana had the honour to be a student of Yogacharya Lalit. Lalit Kumar who is the Founding Director of Himalaya Yoga Valley Centre.
To further extend her Yoga practice, in 2016 Diana returned to India, and finished her advanced yoga teacher training, 300 hours, at a highly disciplined Ashram in Mysore, studying from living encyclopedias on Indian spirituality, Krishna Chaitanya and Swami Prabodh Chaitanya.
-Himalaya Yoga Valley (RYS 200HR), India. Qualified to teach Traditional Astanga yoga with Iyengar alignments, Hatha yoga, Meditation, Chanting and Pranayama.
-ASI, Academy of Surfing Instructors, Perth. Water Rescue, Stand Up Paddle boarding instructor and a SUP Yoga instructor.
-Santosha’s Pre & Post Natal + Children’s + Teen YTT, Bali. Qualified to teach expectant and new mothers, childrens and teens.
-Ayur Yoga Eco-Ashram (RYS300 hr), Mysore, India 2016. Advanced asanas, Pranayamas and Kriyas.
Dia Yoga – Yoga in Nature
Dia Yoga takes yoga outdoors, to the most sacred studio, so we can connect to our roots. So we feel the beauty of Mother Earth deep in our heart. So we can feel all the elements in our practise. The earth in our bones, bringing us balance and ancient wisdom. The flow of the water in our movement. The fire of the sun, as it deepens our poses and burns away the toxins and impurities. The fresh air carry us and and heighten our breath awareness. Yoga means “union” and when practising in nature we can feel the union with Mother Earth and Universe. It’s not always the most magical sunsets or sunrises, while the full moon is glowing over us. It’s not always the perfect temperature. Sometimes it might be windy, rainy or there might be a bug… But this is our Planet, all these aspects are part of our Earth. And either it’s cold or hot, we are still blessed to practise on the edge of the Indian Ocean, surrounded by all the beautiful colours of this Paradise.
